How To Tune & Sync Weber DCOE Carburetors
CLIENT
The Curb Cut
THE BRIEF
One of the largest automotive Youtube channels needed to create thumb-stopping content to keep current subscribers engaged and grow their audience.
THE CHALLENGE
Create a piece of content that enthusiasts of all kinds can appreciate - from classic car lovers to EV Techies.
THE APPROACH
FILMING
Made the interview look & feel more personal through lighting design and choice of questions because viewers needed to truly get to know him in order to understand the magnitude of the project he undertook
Shot in a journalistic & relatable style, making sure to not only capture shots of everything Jon talked about but also to highlight unique features of the car while making you feel like you were there.
EDITING
To draw the viewer in, I coupled a voiceover hook with a slow, cinematic montage.
I then provided context to Jon’s automotive passions - juxtaposing visuals of preparing for an outing with voiceover. Following that, I got into the technical side of the project - editing in such a way that didn't bore the audience.
Saving “the best for last," I brought it all together by cutting together a segment about the driving experience, incorporating higher-speed driving shots and burnouts.
THE OUTCOME
The video has over 1 Million views, 26,000 Likes and 1,500+ comments.

Peak engagement occurs about 75% of the way in suggesting
that viewers remained engaged throughout most of entire piece.
